Welcome to PHISDetector
PHISDetector receives bacterial or virus genomic sequences in GenBank or FASTA format as input.
If a bacterial sequence has been submitted, PHISDector will predict the potential infecting phage for the query bacterium.
If a phage sequence has been submitted, PHISDector will predict the potential host for the query phage.
If a pair of bacteria-phage genome sequences has been submitted, diverse in silico PHIS will be detected to characterize the interaction, including CRISPR,Prophage,Genetic homology,Sequence composition and Protein-Protein Interaction.
Finally, a consensus analysis is performed to indicate the possible integrity of the predicted interactions and return the consensus result page. One row for one prediction.Click the detail button to show the detailed information.Job ID will be displayed on the top of the result page for follow-up analysis.
Generically, for a FASTA input file, open reading frames (ORFs) will be firstly predicted on the input genome using FragGeneScan, while for a GenBank (GBK) file, DNA sequence and ORF amino acid sequences of the genome will be extracted directly from the input GBK file.
Annotation:
1. If phage genome size < 1000bp,PHISDetector will not consider this phage.
2. If the input file is multi-fasta format, PHISDetector will consider no more than 50 contigs(length>=1000bp)
Please don't upload sequences too much and repeatedly, otherwise, this will increase the burden of server
