step2:retain those CRISPR arrays with repeats dissimilar with the collected repeats of known CRISPR type (identity < 0.9, coverage < 0.9)
step3:detect large proteins (protein size >= 500 aa) with unknown function within the 5 upstream and downstream proteins of the retained CRISPR arrays
step4:searching for homologs of the candidate proteins from step3 in the in-house protein database consisting of upstream and downstream proteins (protein size >= 500 aa) of CRISPR arrays (spacer number >= 2, repeat length ranging from 18 to 45)
step5:evaluate and validate candidates by filtering the proteins or homologs neighbored with the CRISPR arrays of known CRISPR type
